Industry veteran Stephanie LaVezzi joins the company as its new sales manager.
February 24, 2020
By: Swiss Precision Machining
As it celebrates 40 years in business, Swiss Precision Machining (SPM) announces Stephanie LaVezzi has joined the company as its new sales manager. She comes to SPM from LaVezzi Precision where she had been developing and growing its medical machining business since 1992. LaVezzi began her sales career at the company her great-grandfather founded in 1908. When she started, they were focused on manufacturing high precision machined components for the motion picture industry. LaVezzi was given the responsibility to learn about the medical device industry and bring on medical OEMs. She was so successful the medical machining business became almost 99 percent of the company’s total business when she left. In addition to the responsibilities of the sales and marketing manager role, LaVezzi was also responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the ISO 13485 quality system. An ISO certification is provided by the International Organization for Standardization—a non-governmental group that sets standards for more than 160 industries. An ISO 13485 certification is difficult to achieve and is essential for machining companies that work with medical device manufacturers. LaVezzi is eager to pursue her vision for excellence in medical machining. She explained, “I love working with medical device companies because I know what we are doing makes a difference in the lives of people. I’m manufacturing components that become part of a life-saving or life-improving device. In addition, components for the medical industry must be of the highest quality which make them more challenging and I love a challenge.” LaVezzi’s achievements reveal a bold leader with a passion for machining and a commitment to excellence. “My goal is to provide high precision contract manufacturing services to medical and dental device companies…seeking the highest level of quality and customer service.” LaVezzi is a graduate of Marquette University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with specialties in Marketing and Management.
